Sondra Corley has worked in Contract Management and Contract Administration for 18 years. She has managed contracts with Fluor Corporation for operations and maintenance of various facilities at Buckley Space Force Base, Co. and she has managed contracts for LGS Innovations LLC, providing communication products and analytical services to the US Government and commercial customers. Sondra has been a member of NCMA since 2009 holding both CPCM and CFCM certifications. Sondra also has a Master of Science Degree in Space Systems Operations Management from Webster University.

Our first CART will involve discussion on how to conduct a Contract Kickoff Meeting. A Contract Kickoff Meeting is the initial post-award meeting educating stakeholders of the contract requirements before contract execution begins. These meetings may also include the Government, or the Government may choose to hold their own Kickoff meeting. Key topics of discussion during a Contract Kickoff Meeting include performance expectations, Terms and Conditions, timelines/schedules, deliverables, communication procedures, and operational responsibilities.  The Kickoff is extremely important as it helps to ensure all parties are on the same page regarding contractual obligations, reporting expectations, technical requirements, staffing structures, and administrative procedures.
